Anniversary

Septemeber 6th,2002 The Jeremy and Andrea Rawlings family was established in the Manti Temple for all time and eternity.

Well I should have blogged all this like 2 weeks ago but it's been a crazy couple of weeks. Our anniversary was the 6th of this month and as a gift to us my dear sweet slightly crazy mom volunteered to take the kids for 6 days so that Jer and I could go have a little "vacation". Jeremy's work was really crazy so we were only able to "vacation" for 2 of those 6 days but Jer still tried to make it special by taking me out to dinner every night which was so super nice not to have to cook for that long but I was super ok with eating my own food after 6 days. I must admit that even though our house stayed nice and clean while the girls where gone it did seem quite a bit empty. On Thursday afternoon we went to the Bountiful temple to do a session, I had forgotten how beautiful that temple is, it's always nice to see different temples. After our session we went to Park City to pretend to be tourist and see what all the fuss about Park City is. We checked into a nice little hotel and then decided out of the bazillion restaurants which one would be the best. Somehow we picked an expensive hole in the wall, Jer's meal was cold and the food I ordered didn't agree too well with the baby, but it was still an interesting experince. We then decided to go to Park City's historic downtown and we were just aghast at the many many ways people can spend money. We stopped at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and got some yummy ice cream and then finished walking main street. (note to park city travelers it gets cold bring a jacket) The next day we went to Deer Valley ski resort and walked around for a minute we kept trying to find a zip line but couldn't find it although I must say the resort was soooo beautiful the leaves were all just turning and if i wasn't prego we so would have been on bikes heading up some trail. After we left Deer Valley we went to Olympic Park and walked around there Jeremy really wanted to do the giant zip line but they had just changed the days they had the ride open so he was unable to go. But we got to watch some people practicing ariel ski jumping and that was pretty cool. Next we went to the outlet mall which I was Jer was going to hate but we had a really good time. We got Lizzie some clothes for her birthday and Jeremy was really good to remind me that we could focus on the other kids another day. We ended the day in SLC and decided to eat at the spaghetti factory, love love love love the food there. It was really nice to realize during the whole time we were together that we really did like eachother. It honestly felt like it did when we were dating all those many 5 years ago. I really enjoyed spending time with Jeremy and felt my love for him deepen even more. We both really missed the girls and were very eager to get them back but when we picked them up from my mom they were both running fevers and sure enough they both had strep. Ahhh no better way to be thrust back into the reality of parenthood. Anyhow I want to super publicly let Jeremy know how much I love him and I am so grateful for him in my life. He is a wonderful husband, father and most of all friend. We've done a lot in the past five years and I wouldn't take back a single moment for anything. Anyhow here's to another wonderful 5 years. I love you!

Andrea,
Hey it's me! Long time no see. I can't believe you are on baby #3! I am so excited for you to have a little boy. I have two little boys now and they are tons of fun. Crazy how life just keeps going on eh? I swear it wasn't that long ago that we were all working at Northern. You got married and had a baby all in the time that I worked there. CRAZY! It's great to see what your little family is up to.

Hey Rawlings Family,

Congrats on 5 years of marriage. We miss our friends here in Michigan. Blogs are great when far from home.
