You've had a birthday...Sorry it's like a month late

So it was Abby's birthday back on Memorial Day and here I am just barley posting it. Abby turned a whole big 3 years Old! I can't believe how fast time has gone by with her. She's still my baby girl but has grown leaps and bounds this year.
A few things about my little darling girl:
She LOVES princesses and all things girly. When we were in San Diego the week before she sang "Once upon a dream" from sleeping beauty every where we went in full voice.
Abby still talks in a super high pitch voice that just makes me smile.
She and Lizzie have become great friends and can play together for the longest of times.
Abby's favorite food is bananas
If it's pink it's Abby's
She is so good at playing things all on her own and will often play with her barbies or little people for hours on end all on her own.

She is such a sweetheart and makes both her mommy and daddy smile and laugh all the time. She loves her big sister and little brother and loves to play with them.

So here's some snippits of the party....

We were able to have a lot of family come out to her party and it was warm enough to put the sprinkler under the tramp. Abby and Leah were inseparable for the entire party. Leah even helped Abby blow out the candles on the cake..(umm ps I so didn't make the cake..I just stuck a pony on top of a cake from Wal-Mart..We all can't be like you Mac! ;) )

Abby got lots of great presents and put them all to good use super quick. I love wrapping presents and try to wrap as many as possible. Abby started getting frustrated at Mommy and her silly curling ribbon..but I mean Come on those presents looked so Cute!

The day after her party Abby broke out the easel that her Grandma R gave her and started painting while wearing her snow white crown. It was so cute!

She painted Airel's hair Red.....and the rest of the page as well...But she had good form on the brush.

I may be biased but I think Abby is absolutley beautiful!

Balboa Park

This place is right next to the San Diego zoo and is a photography gold mine! I would have stayed there all day and night but as you can see my kids were kind of tired of walking (ummm yes that is Lizzie crawling on the dirty road because she couldn't stand to walk any farther) but the pictures were so worth taking. I'm just glad I don't live there or I would have to spend a lot of money on new camera stuff to take even more pictures.

The girls loved the rose garden and I secretly wished that I was a bride all over again so I could take my bridals here.

Gorgeousness

The architecture was just amazing!

I loved the lighting in this picture.

Cool museum type place.
Super cool place.
The video that came with my camera was about shooting this exact park.
Seriously I don't see buildings like this everyday.

San Diego Zoo

Here's the San Diego Zoo..I took a bazillion pictures of animals and flowers but I figured if you all wanted to see the animals you should actually go to the zoo. So I posted pix mostly of the fam instead. We walked the entire zoo (umm yes we are insane but on the plus side I didn't feel bad about not going running) and the kids had a great time looking at so many different animals.

Ok so every once in awhile our kids "bugged" us..... he he he

Lizzie loved the flamingos and I thought this picture was pretty cool.

One monkey
4 monkeys looking at the monkey

They had a petting zoo and although we've seen sheep and goats before the kids still had a fun time petting them.

This was Abby's best friend she followed it everywhere.

I really wished at this point that this polar bear was a magic polar bear that would let us ride it around the park for free. I was really tired by the time we got to the polar bears

My cute little monkeys.

Beach-Coronado Island

Sorry this is taking so long I still have Abby's birthday to post (ummm p.s. she turned 3 last month) and other adventures we've had since our totally awesome vacation so today I'm just going to be a posting fool. So here's just some of my favorite pix from the beach.

When Jeremy and I honeymooned in San Diego almost 7 years ago I took a picture of our names in the sand only to find out my camera stopped working so I had to take this one just for memories sake.

This is one of my favorite pix of the whole trip and have since blown it up and have it framed.
Imperial beach is so super cool and these rocks were just awesome.

K my favorite part of the beach was how Abby and Lizzie rarely let go of each other. When we got home from Vacation Lizzie told me "I didn't expect to make a new best friend on vacation but Abby is now my favorite friend." That one statement made the whole vacation worth it.

Sea World delight

My camera died half way through our day at Sea World so the pictures from there are a quite a bit more manageable. Looking back through my pictures I realized I took a lot of the animals and attractions that we went through and thoroughly regret not taking more pics of my kids and hottie husband. But I guess I'll store that in the "next time" file. Till then here's a look at Sea World through my lens. Lizzie now wants to add a marine biologist to her lofty list of things she wants to be when she grows up. Abby was thrilled at the entire section of Sea World called Seasame Street Bay..They had fantastic rides just for little kiddos, splash pads and everything else a little girl could possibly want on the flip side she absolutely hated the Elmo's world 3-d movie. She didn't think it was too cool that when the fire hose sneezed she got wet and the bugs flying in front of her face really freaked her out. Will loved every single animal and barked at them all. His favorite had to be the Dog show I thought he was going to be hoarse by the end of the 20 minute show he screamed at every single animal.

Our first show was the sea lion show. We got there just as it started. Lizzie thought it was "pretty cool" but now can identify the difference between a sea lion and a manatee so I feel pretty good about that.

We stopped to look at the sea lions afterwards and this guy walked up to the glass to say Hell-o to Lizzie and Abby (it helped that some guys from Austraila were feeding him fish right by the girls)

Abby loved feeling like she was right there in their faces.

Then on to the Dog show

I can still hear Will's screaming through this entire show. He was so excited to see so many dogs/cats/birds and a PIG.
Lizzie thought that the dogs on a date were the cutest part of the show.

I wish I would have brought Duct tape to keep Will on my lap he was just dying to go down and play with the dogs.

Abby for the entire week before our trip talked about going to San Diego and seeing the ponies. So we went to see the one pony at Sea World

Good thing Sea World has a weird thing with that Beer place.

Be careful though Those ponies just might bite!

Then on to the Dolphin Show, Lizzie was extremely jealous of the family that got to feed the dolphins and was genuinely concerned for the mom that fell in, then laughed pretty hard when she found out that the Mom was really a trainer. I personally love the dolphin show and am so amazed at the talent those creatures have.

This is the sad part. As we were petting the sting rays my camera died..right before our last show of the day with Shamoo I know everyone just cried but we got it on video.

Abby had issues with wanting to lick her hands after touching the sting rays...maybe she'll be sushi eater but whatever her deal was it grossed me out pretty good.

Did you know that Sting rays can growl? We heard them growl right after Jeremy grabbed it, The sting ray was about to eat a fish that someone was holding out for it but it creeped me out enough that I was pretty sure I was just going to take pictures from a safe distance.

Sorry no pix of shamoo and the awesome Sesame Street Bay but when we got back to our condo I charged the battery really good for the San Deigo Zoo. So tilll then......
