This place is right next to the San Diego zoo and is a photography gold mine! I would have stayed there all day and night but as you can see my kids were kind of tired of walking (ummm yes that is Lizzie crawling on the dirty road because she couldn't stand to walk any farther) but the pictures were so worth taking. I'm just glad I don't live there or I would have to spend a lot of money on new camera stuff to take even more pictures.
The girls loved the rose garden and I secretly wished that I was a bride all over again so I could take my bridals here.

Beautiful! I have heard that people REALLY like it, but I hadn't ever seen pictures.
that pic of the "museum type place" with the tower, thats the "cathedral type place" i had been thinking of all along. so you got those cool pics of that cathedral that i was telling you about, without even knowing about it!

I am finally catching up with your blog. What a fun summer you guys have had. Great pics. I love Balboa Park. When I was a nanny in San Diego, we would make weekly trips to the Zoo and Balboa. Sea World is fun too. Kya would love the dog show. Great pictures. Glad you had a great trip.
