Finally San Diego

We left Vegas before noon and made the long stretch to San Diego. The kids struggled a bit for this stretch of the trek. Even though it was shorter to San Diego from Las Vegas than from home to Las Vegas we were all tired of being in the car and feeling pretty anxious for the Ocean. It was totally worth the wait. When we got to our Condo (thanks to the Wihonghi's) we were blown away at all the room.

Needless to say we had plenty of space and coming back to the "hotel" after a long day of sight seeing was super relaxing. Not to mention the coin we saved on having the full kitchen and being able to eat our usual cold cereal breakfast (added bonus we bought ice cream and had ice cream every night when we got home).

After we got a little settled we took off for the beach. 1ST beach on our radar was Imperial beach on Coronado Island. Jeremy and I never made it there when we honeymooned in San Diego and man were we ever sorry that we missed out. We got to the beach just as the sun was setting and well I'll let you see.

After getting in as much of the view as we could we walked through coronado...I could move there...right this second...you think i'm kidding...but i'm not. We found a cool 50's diner and ordered some super yummy food. I was sad I didn't bring my camera in the diner I keep telling myself that we'll go back but you'll all have to just imagine it till then. We were so happy by the end of our meal but still pretty tired. We went back to our fabulous digs and San Diego and slept happily and soundly.

First Day of Vacation

We woke up early Monday Morning and packed our bags then hit the road for Vegas. We were a bit apprehensive about how the kids would travel those long 6 hours but they were AWESOME! Before we knew it we were in Las Vegas and so excited not to go hit the casinos or catch any super cool shows but because Jeremy's little sister lives in Vegas and she had just had her first baby. As soon as we checked into our hotel we took off to go see Curt and Mandy but most importantly little Kambria. She did not disappoint in the cute department. Lizzie was excited to hold her but somehow in the past 18 months had forgotten how to hold little babies.

She was a little bit confused on how to hold her head but got for a second.

Then Kambria started fussing. We were trying to convince her to suck her thumb in this pic.

Then she moved and Lizzie was super worried. How the heck are you supposed to hold a moving baby.

Kambria seemed to be laughing at her older cousin here.

Normally I hate slide shows on blogs. (Sorry for those of you who use them all the time.) But I took over 800 pictures in one week so there's a lot for everyone to see. So I've composed a few slide shows set to some super cool music for you all to see. But don't worry I've saved my favorite pix of the whole trip to be posted at the end of the week. So check back often this week.
Till then here's my first slide show. We stayed at the stratasphere our first night in Vegas in a super nice room for just a mere 30 dollars! Woot for cheap hotel rooms. We had free roof access so we went up to take in the views of Vegas. If I were the more INSANE kind of person I would have begged Jeremy to ride the INSANE rides they have on top of the stratasphere but as it was I almost threw up just being as high up as we were and had to really let myself go to let me kids get so close to the glass. Ya I'm not such a big fans of heights.

But I am a cool enough Mom that we were able to do the Penny souvineir.

The girls had an awesome time just turning the dumb wheel. They were even more excited to see that something actually came out.

Lizzie keeps this in her pocket everyday.

Got to Love the stratosphere although there's many things that I don't love about Vegas I sure do Love my Family!

Lizzie's Preschool Graduation

Lizzie officially graduated from Preschool on May 16th. We have loved all the great adventures that she's been able to have with her preschool class and have loved even more the love of learning Lizzie has developed since August. Ms. Tara put on a fantastic graduation program and the kids sang us all some of their favorite songs from the past year and put on a great program. Ms. Tara put a lot of time into an end of year video showcasing the past year's activities and I loved it. We were sad to be leaving but excited for the next step for Lizzie.

Cassie, Lizzie and Gracie were all such great carpooling buddies. But to be slightly honest I'm glad to have the break from driving into school.

Lizzie and Gracie are next door neighbors and will most likely be spending the rest of their education together until someone moves.

Ms. Tara handing Lizzie her diploma and super cute pictures from Little Grins.

Grandma Pat and Lizzie and Gracie each day of school was made or broken by whether they were able to sit and Grandma Pat's table or not.

Lizzie and her friends looking at their new fancy pants diplomas.

Ready.......
Caps Away!!!!!!!!
What a silly tradition...
Really we can't say enough about Leap Ahead Learning and the time and effort that Ms. Tara puts into her class. Lizzie is officially reading at a level 1 and is more than prepared for Kindergarten. We're excited to see what is in store for Lizzie and her next school year.

Women's Conference

I was lucky enough to attend Women's Conference this year with my Mom and one of her sisters. All I can really say is "WOW!" and that is an understatement. I was so grateful to my husband for taking on the kids while I was able to be uplifted and strengthened. It was just what I needed.
So please enjoy my photo tour of Women's conference. Seriously so cool.
This was the first class we went to. It was in the ballroom and seriously I was blown away by the sheer amount of women! It was staggering.

Some of the great sites on the Y campus. I'll forever be an Aggie girl but it was still nice to enjoy the BYU Campus.

Ummm do you see what I mean. That for the most part are all women....... like over 20,000!
You might need to enlarge this one but Elder Perry was the closing speaker and he was so inspiring. But there where more "Big Wig" people there I labeled those who I could remember.
Sister Beck was also there and she has given me my new motto as a mother "raising superior daughters"

Speaking of raising superior's my mother in law attends Women's Conference Every year with some friends so I was able to crash her dorm and we discovered that our similar taste goes beyond her son. We both bought the same bag while we were there at different times.

We ended the day at Maglebee's and one of my favorite cousins and his amazing wife were able to meet us before they ventured out into the real world. Chace and Rivka both graduated from the Y and are on their way to conquer the world. Love these guys (you might be able to tell from my smile. ;)

When I got back I was attacked by my children and was greeted with this frame by frame doggy pile. They had a great time with Daddy he spoiled them by letting them stay up late and watched a movie with popcorn. He obviously taught Will how to read Spiderwick and I came back to some seriously happy children.

My mom bought the girls these super cute purses and they were so excited to model them for the camera. I swore I would never dress my kids in matching shirts but I couldn't help it with these adorable little outfits.

I couldn't help but keep shooting the kids were in such a cute mood and I had to capture these. I thought Abby just looked too adorable for words.

Seriously So cute!
Lizzie wanted in on the action as well.

Abby was more than happy to share the frames......

I'm so glad I was able to go and spend some quality time with my Mom. It's rare that we get to spend time together without at least one of my kids. I love my Mom so much and have truly been shaped by her love and guiding example. I'm pretty sure she's the best Mom in the entire world and I'm so glad to have her as my mom. I LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS MOM!

But A girl can only do so much in one night. So please read ahead leave comments on all the posts especially about how funny it is that in my running picture there's an ambulance right behind me, and how adorable my girls and awesome brother are, and how great our new floors look, and what a sweet ball player my husband is. So y' all have a lot to do so get a goin'

Uncle Garret

My kids are probably the luckiest kids in the entire world. Not only do they have A*M*A*Z*I*N*G grandparents they somehow lucked out in the Aunt and Uncle Department as well. I'm slightly fond of the uncles Where as So many of the uncles are my brothers. My brother Garret came and joined us for dinner before he left for his latest adventure in Atlanta GA. We love having him around but my girls love him most of all. They could not wait to get Uncle Garret on the tramp. According to Garret he hadn't been on a tramp since he was like 10 so he was a bit apprehensive. But the girls loved having him here. We miss him already and can't wait for him to get back.
This is Garret's "pose" Zoolander has his blue steel and Garret has this look. He was trying his best to teach Abby but she's yet to master his pensive look.

Ya, She's even less pensive in this one.
All right we'll give it up. Let's get our Jump on!
Lizzie thought she'd show him how his feet were supposed to leave the tramp.
Getting his bounce on. (ps love the clouds in this pix..Utah weather really can make some pretty pix)
And we have lift off!
Lizzie thought she'd give Uncle Garret's pose a try............. Nailed it! Garret could only hope to be so cute.
